The tradition of celebrating the day of birth of an individual is thought to have existed since ancient times. Depending on the culture, religious beliefs, and geographic location, occasions for ritual performance differ greatly. The aim of this pilot study was to investigate how students in Lithuania evaluate the importance of their birthdays.
Birthdays often sift us into two categories; those that can’t wait and love to celebrate all month long, and those that would rather let the day pass with little fanfare.
When dealing with the former or wanting to spoil the latter despite their protests, dreaming up the perfect birthday gifts, parties, and meals can be overwhelming.
